Dharmendra To Recreate ‘Sholay’ Magic In Yamla Pagla Deewana


The super trio of Bollywood’s Deol family Dharmedra, Sunny and Bobby are making a comeback this winter to take you on a roller coaster journey of laughter, romance, action and drama. The father-son team could not attract the viewers when they first appeared onscreen together in Apne in 2007.

However, the Deol family is set to rock the audience with their latest offering Yamla Pagla Deewana, produced by Nitin Manmohan and Samir Karnik. This new movie is is set to release on January 14, 2011.

The comedy revolves around three main characters played by veteran actor Dharmendra and his two sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol. Dharmendra will be seen in his powerful form as he was in his landmark film Sholay. Sunny will be at his best as was in Damini. Bobby will be seen romancing with many cute girls simultaneously. The audience will get to witness the ‘Sholay’ days of Dharmendra with his funny acts.

In one of the scenes in the movie, Sunny tells Bobby that gone are the days when one could get married by climbing on a water tank, which is a clear reference to his dad’s act in Sholay. Veeru won Basanti by impressing her ‘mausi’ climbing a water tank and threatening her to take his life if she does not let Basanti to marry him.

Yamla Pagla Deewana will also have the popular dialogue of Sholay in which Veeru tells Gabbar Singh, ‘Kuttey Mein Tera Khoon Pee Jaunga’. Some of the memorable songs, dialogues and popular captions from the films of the three actors will be referred in this movie. This will surely keep the audience hooked to this fun-filled movie.

The legendary song ‘Mein Jat Yamla Pagla Deewana’ from Dharmendra’s earlier movie will once again enthrall the audience in its new version. Sunny will be seen as an NRI and the story will revolve around him and two conmen – Dharam and Bobby.

Audience will definitely remember Sholay’s Dharmendra as he will be seen with a bucket full of liquor saying ‘Jat Risky after partyWhisky’.

Veteran comedian Johny Lever will also tick the funny bones to make it a big laughter riot. So, audience can expect a genuine hit from the father-son trio this time.
