Michael Lohan Talks Reunion With Daughter Lindsay

Lindsay Lohan's father Michael has spoken out for the first time since he was reunited with his troubled daughter in rehab, praising her progress and revealing they are taking steps to repair their relationship.

The actress, who has been in and out of jail and rehab this year, is currently serving out a three-month stint at California's Betty Ford clinic after failing two mandatory drug tests. She was rumoured to have reached out to her estranged father when he was spotted visiting the center on Sunday, November 7, and they fuelled speculation of a reunion when they enjoyed an outing to a movie theater together on Wednesday.

Michael Lohan has now confirmed they are making good progress in fixing their former family feud. He tells The R List blogger Jenn Hoffman, "I'm looking forward to seeing her again... The only problem is when you are in the public eye like we are, the entire relationship is under scrutiny so it's hard. It's harder for her... I know for a fact she's focusing on herself. I see it more now than ever."

And Lohan is adamant his daughter will be able to revive her flagging movie career once she kicks her addictions. He adds, "She's gifted... (She just needs to stay) on the track she is now and focusing on being Lindsay. That's it."

Lindsay and Michael Lohan Having 'Emotional Reunion', Pictures Revealed

After a series of public dispute, Lindsay Lohan has finally reunited with her estranged father Michael Lohan on Sunday, November 7, Radar Online reported. The embattled daughter and father reportedly met at the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, California after 1 P.M. and the site obtained a number of the reunion pictures.

The images show Lindsay and Michael walking side by side in a sidewalk with the actress, who is ordered to stay at the facility until January 3, 2011, smiling. The two were joined by a female companion who walked behind them. "It was an emotional reunion... there were hugs, kisses and even a few tears when Michael and Lindsay first saw each other," a source with knowledge of the meeting shared.

"They also went shopping at a local Palm Desert mall, where they were seen walking around together and at one point, were in a jewelry store," the source went on saying. Another eyewitness further told the site, "He purchased something Lindsay had her eye on and seemed overjoyed by their reunion. She appeared genuinely happy to be spending time with her father."

Lindsay's mother, Dina Lohan, also recently told "Today" 's Matt Lauer that it would be good for the 24-year-old beauty and Michael to reconnect. Beside revealing her opinion about the reunion during the interview, she also admitted that her daughter is an addict.

On why she refused to come forward with Lindsay's drug issues in the past, Dina explained, "That was for Lindsay to admit. As a mother it wasn't for me to come to tell the world... about her problem. That was for her to do. I wasn't in denial."

Lindsay Lohan Wants to Open Rehab Facilities to Help Other Children

Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan plans to open her own rehab facilities once she's completed her drug treatment, according to her mother Dina Lohan. The 24-year-old "Mean Girls" star is currently serving three months at the Betty Ford Clinic in California after failing two mandatory drug tests in September and violating her probation.

But the stint is working wonders for Lohan and, during an appearance on America's "The Today Show" on Monday, November 8, her mum hailed the treatment as a "life-changing" experience for her daughter. It is Lohan's fifth time in rehab.

And the matriarch revealed the actress wants to found her own facility upon her release in January 2011 to benefit at-risk children. Dina Lohan said, "She wants to start her own facilities, help other children. She's so public, we can only be positive and look to the future to help other families."

Selena Gomez's Word of Support for Demi Lovato Denied

A spokesperson for Selena Gomez has dismissed reports the star has reached out to Demi Lovato in a bid to patch up their friendship. The "Camp Rock" star has checked into rehab to deal with "emotional and physical" issues, scrapping her appearances on a tour with the Jonas Brothers.

Internet gossips began speculating about the 18 year old's relationship with Gomez, alleging a rumored feud between the former best pals could have played a part in Lovato's troubles. A statement purportedly written by Gomez then surfaced online, in which she supposedly admitted feeling "like a horrible friend" for not supporting the singer/actress.

But Gomez's representative tells GossipCop.com that the message is "not her" and that "no statement has been made" by the "Wizards of Waverly Place" star.

Lindsay Lohan Takes Time Out of Rehab for Shopping Trip

Lindsay Lohan has taken a break from her rehab stint. The 24-year-old troubled actress, who is ordered to stay at the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, California until January 3, 2011, reportedly made a quick trip outside the facility on Tuesday, November 2 - she shopped at Forever 21 in Palm Desert, California with an unidentified female - Radar Online reported.

The store manager Tiffany Bennett confirmed Lindsay's visit to the site, saying "Lindsay came in two days ago with another young woman. Lindsay kept to herself, but was friendly. Lindsay bought a leopard sweater, a lot of pajama bottoms, and a ton of socks. Her choices were for leisure wear."

Tiffany went on saying that Lindsay spent about $200 total and "paid for the items herself." The "Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen" actress' female pal bought up around $300 worth of merchandise. "We were surprised that Lindsay was so low key," the store manager said.

"The only thing she asked us to do was to hold some of the items at the front until she was finished picking things out," Tiffany continued, adding that Lindsay "looks really, really good." After the retail therapy, the "Freaky Friday" star was said going "to the Starbucks next door all the time."

Adding that Lindsay was in her good condition during the Tuesday outing, an employee at the store told E! Online, "She looked good. She had her hair down and was wearing sunglasses, a white T-shirt and jeans. She seemed pleasant."

Lindsay will be allowed to leave the sober living place earlier next year. However, she still will be a subject to random drug testing until her next court date on February 25, 2011. Lindsay, who left the Los Angeles County women's jail in Lynwood on September 24, was hauled back in front of the judge for violating her probation stemming from her DUI arrests in 2007 by failing her court-ordered drug tests.

PETA Would Pay Lindsay Lohan if She Turns Vegan

Officials at People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) have offered to help cash-strapped Lindsay Lohan pay for her rehab treatment if she eats a vegan diet for the remainder of her stay. The "Mean Girls" star has been in and out of jail and rehab this year and is currently serving a three-month stint at California's Betty Ford Clinic after failing two court-ordered drug tests.

Lohan's recent probation report stated the actress fears she will be unable to pay the $53,000 fees for her rehab stay because she "can not afford" it. PETA executives have now reached out to Lohan and offered a solution to her financial problem - they will give her $10,000 if she cuts animal products from her diet until she is released from rehab in January.

They have also promised her another $10,000 if she remains a vegan for a year afterwards. PETA President Ingrid Newkirk tells the Los Angeles Times, "Lindsay Lohan is the most visible example of a real addict, and if she can conquer her addiction to meat and cheese, absolutely anyone can. If she does, she'll not only save animals but save her own health, and she'll be an example to the millions of people who watch her every step."

'Inferno' Director Refuses to Replace Lindsay Lohan

Director Matthew Wilder has renewed his vow to stand by Lindsay Lohan as she endures a further three months in drug rehab, insisting he has no plans to replace her as the lead in his Linda Lovelace biopic. The filmmaker hired the "Mean Girls" star to play the troubled porn legend in "Inferno" earlier this year, but production on the project was pushed back when Lohan was jailed for breaching her probation over the summer.

Shooting was scheduled to begin in November but filming on the movie has now been stalled after Lohan was ordered to spend the next three months continuing treatment at California's Betty Ford Clinic during a court hearing on Friday, October 22.

But Wilder has promised to support his leading star as she conquers her demons. He tells the New York Daily News, "We're not replacing her with another person. She's good and productive and thinking about life beyond (rehab). I think she feels a little cooped up there, but she's OK."

The news will be a major relief for Lohan - in court documents filed by her probation officer, she admits she "can not afford to continue to pay for the treatment program and she needs to work". The extra three months at the Betty Ford Clinic is expected to cost the actress an estimated $63,000

Photographer Fails to Serve Lindsay Lohan With Legal Papers

A fashion photographer who is suing Lindsay Lohan is struggling to serve the actress with legal papers. A process worker was turned away recently as he tried to present her with the lawsuit during her stay in rehab.

The "Mean Girls" actress is accused of failing to honor a deal to give snapper Scot Nathan a one per cent share in her clothing line 6126 in exchange for a photo shoot. He launched legal action against Lohan in April this year and a process server attempted to visit the troubled star at the Betty Ford Clinic in Rancho Mirage, California earlier this month - but he was denied access and instead gave the papers to the security guard.

However, the action will not count as court documents cannot be handed to security, reports TMZ.com. Lohan was sentenced to a further three months of treatment on Friday, October 22 for violating her probation after failing two court-ordered drug tests in September.

She will remain at the Betty Ford Clinic until at least January 3, 2011.

Lindsay Lohan Fights Back Tears as Judge Gives Her No Jail Sentence

Lindsay Lohan got a stern warning from Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Elden Fox but not a jail sentence. During a hearing at the Beverly Hills Courthouse on Friday, October 22, Lindsay was ordered to remain in rehab until January 3, 2011 and will also be a subject to random drug testing until her next court date on February 25, 2011, Los Angeles Times reported.

"I'm serious about that (date). You're staying there past the New Year, and there's a reason for that," judge Elden told Lindsay. "I'm not going to be manipulated. If you're serious about what you wrote in the letter, if you're serious about your sobriety... you will admit that you are an addict," Elden added, referring to Lindsay's handwritten letter she sent to the judge. Lindsay nodded her head.

If Lindsay completes her treatment and complies with her probation until her February hearing, the "Mean Girls" star will be placed on unsupervised probation so she can move on with her life and "put this long episode behind" her. However, if she violates her probation, Elden will sentence her to six months in jail. Lindsay sobbed as she said, "I understand. Thank you."

Lindsay's parents were both present for the sentencing. Michael Lohan sat on the opposite side of the court from the 24-year-old troubled actress' mother, Dina Lohan. According to TMZ, Lindsay showed her SCRAM bracelet to her mother during the hearing and made her aware that she wants it to be removed.

Lindsay was hauled back in front of the judge for violating her probation stemming from her DUI arrests in 2007 by failing her court-ordered drug tests. She just exited the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, California, a day before the Friday sentencing after voluntarily checking herself back on September 27.

Lindsay Lohan Tells Court She Worries Her Fashion Line Will Collapse While in Rehab

© PNP/WENN Lindsay Lohan fears an extended stay in rehab will ruin her movie career and spell the end for her clothing collection, according to court documents filed by her probation officer. The "Mean Girls" star appeared in Beverly Hills Courthouse in Los Angeles on Friday, October 22, when Judge Elden Fox ruled she had violated her probation by failing two mandatory drug tests in September.
He rejected the prosecution's suggested three-month jail term and ordered the actress to return to the Betty Ford clinic in Rancho Mirage, California, where she's spent the last three weeks in treatment, to continue battling her drug demons until January 2011. But Lohan will not be happy with the rehab news - according to her probation report, the star told her parole officer her 6126 Collection fashion range was already in trouble.

In Probation Department papers submitted to court on Friday and obtained by TMZ, the officer states, "The defendant says her clothing line is falling apart because she is not available to monitor the product." However, Lohan's probation adviser insists rehab is the best option for the actress, claiming she "needs to continue to work on her issues in order to save her life."

Lohan must remain as an in-patient until at least January 3, 2011, and she will be subjected to random drug testing until her next court date on February 25, 2011.

Lindsay Lohan Leaves Rehab, Due in Court on October 22

Lindsay Lohan now can have a better night rest compared to the one she had in rehabilitation center. According to TMZ, the 24-year-old troubled actress left the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, California on Thursday night, October 21 after spending 24 days in the facility.

Lindsay checked herself into the sober living house on September 27 after failing her court-ordered drug tests. The "Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen" star is due to face L.A. Superior Court Judge Elden Fox on Friday, October 22 at 8:30 A.M.

The hearing will determine whether Lindsay will be sent back to rehab or go to jail for violating her probation by failing the drug tests. During that time, the actress was told to spend a month in prison but she walked free after posting $300,000 bail before checking herself into the facility days later.

Fellow stars have sent their best wishes to Lindsay as she struggled with her drug demons. After Snooki and Mark Wahlberg, now Elton John has sent his. Talking to the Daily Star, the pop legend said, "Lindsay needs to go away to somewhere like Hazelden in Minnesota which is a kind of boot camp."

And if Lindsay really wants to fight her drug issue, she shouldn't enter "treatment centers which have televisions and swimming pools. That's not the way you do it. That's pampering." Elton added, "You have to ask for help. And you have to be ready for it, you have to surrender to it and ask for help and accept help and get rid of the people who are around you."
