Crossing the Blues

Oh dear, now Lily's gobbing off about religion...

Not content with accidentally getting a whole load of people's backs up by saying some ill-advised things about cocaine, Lily has now had a little pop at religion, claiming it left her feeling "confused". The singer explained, "I was brought up in a Catholic school and they told me gays were bad, adultery was bad and drugs were bad. At the same time, all my mum's friends were gay, my dad was having various affairs and there were drugs in the house when I was a kid – so it was a bit cruel." And she doesn't stop at Catholicism... "Why is Songs Of Praise always Christian? Where's the Hindu Songs Of Praise? The Islamic Songs Of Praise? We all pay our TV license! I don't like Christianity much." Oh dear... Lily seemed to realise what she was saying could be a bad idea, as she then quickly added, "It's too dangerous for me to rank them [religions]. I'll get into serious trouble." One online user has already critcised Lily's comments, writing, "I'd like to see what she actually knows about other religions to be making comparisons anyway. She shouldn't talk publicly about stuff she knows nothing about." We're sure Lily meant absolutely no harm in any of her comments, but she does seem to have a habit of opening her mouth when she really shouldn't. Are you a fan of Lily's ramblings, or do you think she should rein it in a bit?
