Russian superstar attached to join Tom Cruise in still-untitled, spy-thriller forquel.
Accoding to The Wrap, popular European actor Vladimir Mashkov, best know to American audiences for 2001's Behind Enemy Lines, will play a Russian agent in the fourth chapter of the Mission: Impossible franchise.
Mashkov will be joining star Tom Cruise along with returning cast Ving Rhames and Simon Pegg, as well as other newcomers Jeremy Renner and Paula Patton. With the cast slowly coming into focus, Cruise and director Brad Bird were recently spotted scouting locations in Prague, which many will remember as the primary location of the first Mission: Impossible flick in 1996.
As momentum continues to build for the project, no specifc title has emerged, nor has a plot outline. We can assume, however, that Cruise will yet again try to impress us by rescuing a baby with a bomb inside it while snowboarding off an exploding Himilayan mountain, or something like that.
