Taylor Swift, Kid Rock and Miley Cyrus Added to 2010 AMAs Line-Up

More big names appear in the performers list of the 38th Annual American Music Awards. Around a week before the ceremony is broadcast live from Los Angeles, Taylor Swift, Kid Rock and Miley Cyrus are added to the already-crowded line-up.

The other newly-announced musical guests are Carlos Santana and Gavin Rossdale. "The AMAs has always been about the best music of the year, and our line-up truly reflects the talented artists that have made 2010 so special," said AMAs producer, Larry Klein.

Out of the five new musical acts, only Swift who gets nominated this year. The 20-year-old country music beauty goes face to face with Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood in Favorite Female Artist for Country Music.

This year, AMAs is going to take place on November 21 at the Nokia Theatre with Rihanna to kick off the event. The other performers are Ne-Yo, Usher, Ke$ha, Katy Perry Justin Bieber and Pink. In addition, Christina Aguilera will perform "Burlesque" number, and New Kids on the Block will share stage with Backstreet Boys.

Miley Cyrus Visits School Unannounced

Teen queen Miley Cyrus surprised students at a school in England on Tuesday, November 9 by turning up for an assembly unannounced. The "Hannah Montana" star showed up at a primary school in Derby to meet two competition winners, 10-year-old Abbie Foster and Alysha Boudir, 11.

Cyrus was greeted by 300 cheering pupils as she stepped onto the school stage to meet her two fans and pose for pictures with the pair. The schoolchildren then treated the singer/actress to a rendition of "Happy Birthday" to mark her upcoming 18th celebration later this month. Cyrus says, "It was so much fun meeting all the children, especially Abbie and Alysha."

Cyrus was in Europe to attend the 2010 MTV European Music Awards on Sunday, November 7. She was at the ceremony to perform as well as present.

Miley Cyrus Wanted to Quit 'So Undercover' Due to Rigorous Training Sessions

Singer/actress Miley Cyrus almost quit her role in new action movie "So Undercover" when she was reduced to tears after learning how to fire a gun. The teen superstar, who shot to fame on Disney TV hit "Hannah Montana", plays a private investigator who goes undercover at a college sorority in the Tom Vaughan-directed movie - but the gritty nature of the part was almost too much for Cyrus to handle.

The 17 year old managed to overcome her fear of firearms and has since hired a personal trainer to help her master the moves for her demanding action sequences. She tells MTV.com, "I've been doing fighting, like learning how to box... mostly like street fighting, so knowing how to, like, if someone comes up from behind you, being able to defend yourself. I have a trainer and I have bruises everywhere from, like, kicking the bags..."

"And I've learned how to use guns, which was really scary. I cried the first time, I was like, 'I'm not doing this... can't do this movie,' (but) then you get used to it, you get used to the feeling. You get used to, like, dropping, like he'll point it (gun) at you and you've got to drop down real quick and grab your weapon and come back up."

Cyrus is now starting to enjoy the rigorous training sessions and she hopes to retain the moves for her own personal safety when she's out and about: "It's been really insane, so it's a more fun workout than running on a treadmill. I want to learn how to do most of my own stuff. Just for normal life, I think every woman should know a little self-defense."

Miley Cyrus Flirting With Jared Followill at EMAs' Afterparty

Shortly after her second split report from Australian hunk Liam Hemsworth swirled, Miley Cyrus has now been linked to Kings of Leon star, Jared Followill. According to New York Post gossip column Page Six, Miley was seen flirting with Caleb at an afterparty of 2010 MTV Europe Music Awards which was held on November 7.

Miley and Jared were even said leaving together after the 17-year-old Disney beauty reportedly showed her interest to the "Use Somebody" rocker. "Their crews were sitting near each other and Miley was texting Followill all night before leaving the party together," an eyewitness told Page Six.

Another source, however, dismissed any possible romance between the two, saying "Miley and Jared are friends, they know each other from Nashville. They left the party together but they went to the Universal Records after-party at Pacha." Meanwhile, reps for Miley and Jared refused to give any comment.

Miley might not feel awkward when she flirted with Jared as she has publicly revealed her crush on the bassist. Back in February, at the Grammy Awards backstage, the "Hannah Montana" star told Rolling Stone, "He's pretty good looking. I'm not usually one to freak, but me and Taylor Swift last night were like, 'Holy smoke!' "

Miley Cyrus to Get Wild With 'So Undercover' Role

Miley Cyrus has shown obvious transformation on her stage performance and now she is going to affirm it through her next movie "So Undercover". The 18-year-old Disney star will portray a teenage badass who uses a lot of swear words and crude language all throughout the script, so said Hollywood Life which claims to have script of the movie.

Cyrus' character, Molly, is described as a real smartass who rides a motorcycle, carries a gun and can beat big dudes up. She will launch sarcastic humor [SPOILER ALERT!] like the one when she suggests a fundraiser, "I said car wash, not hand job booth!"

Cyrus reportedly has at least two big fight scenes and she will be seen punching a guy in the face in an effort to protect her dad in the first part of the script. Still, her character will get entangled in a romantic relationship with Nicholas, a "mysterious" and motorcycle-riding boy.

Nicholas is said "rough around the edges" and having "a strong body". But before she falls for him and shares smooch with him, Molly thinks he's the bad guy, so she handcuffs him to a radiator and "basically kicks the crap out of him," Hollywood Life further reports.

"So Undercover" will revolve around Cyrus' character who is hired by the FBI to go undercover in a college sorority. Not normally a private eye to take on government issued cases, Molly accepts the job to help her dad pay a debt to a bookie as her dad means the world to her.

Tom Vaughan is attached to direct the action comedy with the script provided by Allan Loeb and Steven Pearl. This movie project eyes December start date in New Orleans.

Miley Cyrus Caught Drinking and Slammed

Miley Cyrus has been criticized by the head of an international alcohol awareness group after she was allegedly spotted boozing in Spain. The 17-year-old singer/actress was reportedly photographed drinking beer while partying in Madrid - the legal age to drink in the country is 18, but teenagers as young as 16 are allowed to consume "certain" alcoholic beverages without issue.

"Hannah Montana" star Cyrus didn't break any laws, according to TMZ.com, but she has been slammed by the boss of the International Institute for Alcohol Awareness. James E. Copple tells the website Cyrus' actions will encourage other youngsters to engage in "risky behavior associated with underage alcohol consumption," adding, "The young people that see her as a role model could mimic the same behavior and as a consequence will go out and become intoxicated, putting their safety at risk."

Miley was in Europe to attend and perform at the MTV European Music Awards on Sunday, November 7 in Madrid, Spain.

Miley Cyrus is hoping her upcoming 18th birthday celebrations will help to bring her family together following the shocking news that her mum and dad are to divorce. The pop star and actress is planning a low-key family affair for her 18th on November 23.

She says, "We need time to all be together... I'm not going to go crazy; have a fun party and then maybe take a vacation with my family... because that would be really cool. I have to be near the water and I love doing scuba and going out and being on a boat."

The image from "Abduction" sees lead actor Taylor Lautner featured next to Lily Collins who shows terrified expression. The official synopsis reads, "What would you do if you found your own picture on a missing persons website? Teen Nathan Harper (Taylor Lautner) finds himself facing this very dilemma."

As for Lisa Azuelos-directed "LOL", the photo puts Miley Cyrus and co-star Douglas Booth who are seen getting cozy with the backdrop of an ancient building. According to the synopsis, the story is set "in a world connected by YouTube, iTunes and Facebook" where "Lola (Miley Cyrus) and her friends navigate the peer pressures of high school romance and friendship while dodging their sometimes overbearing and confused parents."

Miley Cyrus' mysterious new music video for Rock Mafia is set to be developed into a movie. The "Hannah Montana" actress stars with Kevin Zegers in the promo for "The Big Bang", in which the "Gossip Girl" hunk chases Cyrus through the streets of New York and they share a passionate kiss - before suddenly realizing he has imagined her.

The clip has become an internet hit - and Rock Mafia singer Tim James admits movie bosses are interested in extending the concept into a big screen film.

He tells MTV.com, "They're actually talking about a movie. I'm excited about that too. There's a couple of producers putting together story lines and stuff. That's really exciting."

Earlier this week, Hollywood Life reported that Liam was spotted over the weekend making out with part-time model Yolanda Vendy in Melbourne. Us Weekly has now come up with a story mentioning Tish was involved romantically with rocker Bret Michaels, with whom Miley has a duet for a song called "Nothing to Lose".

According to the publication, which is on newsstands on Wednesday, November 3, Bret "became close to the entire family" this past February when he and Miley had the collaboration. Bret and Tish were later seeing each other. An insider claimed once Billy knew about the fling, he decided to file for divorce on October 26.

The insider went on, "Billy Ray was completely unaware of what was going on." Contrary to the claim, a rep for Bret debunked the allegation, telling the publication "There has never been an affair or a fling" with Tish's rep denying the story also. Still, the Cyrus source insisted, "It was a professional relationship that turned into something more."

Moreover, if the report is indeed true, the alleged affair might affect Bret's career. "The video is unique and honestly, was a life-changing experience," Miley told E! News. "This song means a lot to me." The clip is indeed full of plot twists. Miley and Kevin seem to be in some kind of relationship, but then she is gone after her vehicle is smashed by another car.

There is no explanation about what happens, but the question about the mysterious ending might be answered when a behind-the-scene footage of the video is aired later this week. Miley and Kevin will sit down for an interview with E! News.

Cyrus took to his Twitter account shortly after filing the papers and quoted bible scripture. He wrote, "Can I ask for your prayers this morning for my children... our troops... the hungry... the sick... the homeless. AMEN."

 Miley Cyrus' parents, country music singer Billy Ray Cyrus and Leticia "Tish" Cyrus, will officially end their 17 years of marriage. Billy, who is listed as the plaintiff, filed for divorce from Tish in Williamson Country Chancery Court, Tennessee on Tuesday, October 26, Us Magazine reported.

In the documents, Billy cited "irreconcilable differences" and is seeking for shared custody of their three minor kids. Furthermore, the "You Won't Be Lonely" singer is requesting the court to "approve a parenting plan" to be signed by both him and Tish and to make an "equitable distribution of the marital estate."

Billy and Tish have since released a joint statement over the separation. "As you can imagine, this is a very difficult time for our family," the statement read. "We are trying to work through some personal matters. We appreciate your thoughts and prayers."

While in the statement Billy and Tish didn't explain about the reason of their divorce, a source close to them told E! Online, "It was a long time coming. It is the best thing for both of them."
